Hello, my name is Marie Nimer
As the proprietor and primary caregiver at Newlands Care, I bring forth a wealth of medical and nursing expertise, coupled with an unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional care. My extensive background and commitment guarantee the provision of secure, effective, and empathetic care for your cherished individuals within the familiar and comforting confines of my residence.
With a robust tenure spanning over 21 years in the field of medical and nursing care, my professional journey encompasses diverse roles. I spent 7 years as an Emergency Room nurse, followed by more than 12 years in a nursing home facility. I further honed my skills as a private home care nurse for several years and subsequently transitioned to serving as a hospital nursing care partner.
Originating from the Philippines, I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing before embarking on a career that led me across different geographies. Beginning with a role as an Emergency Room nurse in Saudi Arabia, I later traversed to the United Kingdom, where I dedicated 17 years to practicing in both hospital settings and private home care facilities. Eventually, my journey brought me to Virginia, where I joined my longtime friend, now my husband, four years ago.
My extensive experience equips me with a comprehensive understanding of medical practices, enabling me to adeptly assess patient needs, tailor personalized care plans, and administer treatments. Profound insights gained from my clinical background encompass disease management, medication administration, wound care, and vigilant symptom monitoring. Moreover, my innate compassion and empathetic approach facilitate the establishment of profound connections with patients and their families, providing invaluable emotional support and nurturing an environment of trust.
